In 2002, with a deep sense of social responsibility, Professor Souad Kafafi initiated plans for establishing a charitable institution in the City of 6th October.

After years of preparations and seeking the approval of the concerned authorities, the foundation was finally inaugurated on March 3, 2008, bearing the name Souad Kafafi Foundation for Integrated Social Care in memory of late Professor, Souad Kafafi.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of Investors’ Society in 6 October City, the President of Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), the chairman and members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, news media and many other interested social workers in the region.

• ‘Charity Begins at Home’ : Therefore, the Foundation is committed to providing integrated social care to the local community of 6 October City. However, in case of major accidents and national disasters, the Foundation extends its services to the affected areas.
• All services provided by the Foundation are free. The Foundation does not accept donations of any sort.
