MUST Careers Center

All persons seriously considered for appointment are interviewed by a senior university representative, normally a dean, departmental chair and/or members of the search committee either in person or by video-conference. However, decisions on faculty appointments are made in Cairo after careful review of the candidate’s qualifications and references with respect to the needs of the university.

Faculty salary and rank are based on qualifications and professional experience. All faculty members receive generous benefits, from AUC tuition to access to research funding. Expatriate faculty members also receive relocation benefits, including annual home leave and tuition assistance for school-age children. In view of AUC’s protocol agreement with the Egyptian government, which requires specific ratios of Egyptian, U.S. and third-country citizen faculty, preference will be given at this time to qualified applicants who are U.S. citizens.
